What to expect as a visitor

Does it matter what I wear? Whether you're dressed like John the Baptizer or R.C. Sproul, you will be warmly welcomed to a seat of honor in the presence of the King of Kings.

How different will the worship service seem to me? The gathering of this body has one clear purpose: to glorify God and enjoy Him together. Hopefully it will seem simple, loaded with scripture, and Christ-exalting. You will not be impressed by a shown of talent. We trust God to do the heavy lifting. We humbly rest in Christ. The Holy Spirit makes His disciples joyful participants throughout. If our gathering and worship seems different than this world in a God-pleasing way, then this is all of His grace. (Here is a Sample Order Of Worship.)
What if I'm not sure whether I'm a Christian? If you don’t know Jesus, this is where you need to be. You will be surrounded by saved sinners. Listen for how lovely God is in the gospel of His Son, Jesus Christ, to redeem wretches like us.

What if I am a Christian but don't have any background in this type of church? If you do love Jesus already, you will be with family. We invite you to participate joyfully in each element: hear God’s word, sing gospel truth, pray, confess, and respond to His law and gospel; let Him transform you.
How do you handle baptism and The Lord's Supper? Jesus gave His church two "visible words:" baptism and The Lord's Supper. Both express union to Him. Because Jesus already has all authority in heaven and on earth, He commands His church to "make disciples of all nations, baptizing them." (Mat. 28:19) His disciples gather regularly as His body to "continue steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine, in fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers." (Acts 2:42) Christ’s table with His church is both deeply personal and deeply corporate. Here His church visibly proclaims Christ’s death and new covenant together until He returns (1 Cor. 11:26). To participate in a worthy manner (1 Cor. 11:17-34) both the congregation and each individual must first self-examine. 1 Cor. 5:8 warns us to never approach the table of our Holy God with malice or wickedness given a place in our lives, but to keep this feast with sincere hearts—resting on Christ. Visitors who are committed to a local body of believers that faithfully preaches the gospel, who affirm your profession of faith, and who oversee your discipleship in Christ, are welcome to join Christ's table here.
